BIO

A little about me:

I absolutely love what I do! I have been so blessed to work with truly marvelous leaders who are hungry to learn and reach their fullest potential. I love watching people gain new insights into themselves and then use those insights to lift the people around them to new horizons. I love working with people who are excited to discover a “blind spot,” “expand their awareness,” or better “leverage their strengths” in new and innovative ways.

I don’t have all the answers that you might be looking for but I bring to my coaching a love of life, a deep gratitude for the opportunity to learn together, and a pure desire to make a difference to everyone I have the opportunity to spend some time with.

I’ll work hard to earn your trust and to make the time we spend together some of the most amazing times of your life … let’s take a walk together and see what there is to see…!

Three truths of leadership

Leadership doesn't just happen

Leadership happens from the inside out

Leadership isn't meant to happen alone

30+ YEARS OF COACHING.

Through my consulting practice, Legacy Alliance, I’ve worked with exceptional leaders in a wide variety of leadership development formats, ranging from traditional large-scale leadership development strategies to very customized and personalized executive coaching experiences. I have been blessed with wonderful and visionary partners and mentors who, through their encouragement and patience, have inspired my absolute passion for coaching executives and their teams.

Chemistry + fit MATTER.

While I’d love to work with everyone who reaches out, I deeply believe that chemistry and fit are important evaluations when deciding whether this engagement will be a productive experience for you.

take your inner work outdoors.

I love to be in nature, whether it’s kayaking or sailing in a warm bay in the Keys or climbing a large mountain in the Colorado Rockies. In nature, I find renewal, creativity, and wisdom. Whether we work together virtually, meet at a warm ocean beachfront, or cross off a trail, it’s my promise to you that by taking this adventure, you will not only elevate your leadership  you will elevate your life!

HERE'S TO THE MAN WHO MENTORED ME.

Early in my career, my good friend and mentor Dr. Warren Bennis took me under his wing and provided unimaginable opportunities to me to learn and grow as a consultant, mentor, and coach. I loved how he would frame questions, tell stories, and invite self-reflection. It is my desire to reflect his compassion, humanity, and humility in how I work with you. He was the consummate gentleman and scholar and I am forever grateful for his influence in my life.

Guide notes

“You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.”
